How are restaurants selected for Choice Eats?

Only restaurants featured in the Village Voice by resident food critic, Robert Sietsema, were invited to participate in Choice Eats.

Will tickets be sold at the Puck Building?

Yes. Tickets will be available starting at 5:30pm on Tuesday, March 11th at the Puck Building. Ticket price will be $35 each for tickets purchased at the Puck Building. Advance tickets are available through Ticketweb for $25 each.

Will there be beer, wine and cocktails served at Choice Eats?

Yes. Beer, wine and cocktails will be served throughout the event, as well as water and soft drinks.

Can I bring my children to Choice Eats?

Unfortunately not. Since alcoholic beverages will be served at Choice Eats only guests who are 21 years of age and over will be admitted.

Will the chefs be on hand?

Yes. Chefs from the restaurants will be on handing preparing and serving their dishes. In most cases they will be able to answers your questions and chat about their creations.

How do I get to the Puck Building?

The Puck Building is located at 295 Lafayette Street in Manhattan. For a map click HERE.

There are several nearby train stations:

F, V, D and B trains to Broadway/Lafayette
6 train to Bleecker Street
R and W trains to Prince Street.

By Bus
The M21, M103 and M1 buses stop in close proximity to the Puck Building.

By Car - From New Jersey

Holland Tunnel - Take Canal Street heading east to Center Street and take a left. Center Street becomes Lafayette Street. Go 8 or 9 blocks to Houston Street. The Puck Building is on the southeast corner of Houston & Lafayette.

Lincoln Tunnel - Take West Street south to Canal Street. Follow above directions.

George Washington Bridge - Take the George Washington Bridge to the Westside Highway (Henry Hudson Parkway) and head south to Canal Street. Follow the above directions.

By Car - From Connecticut

Either take the Merritt parkway to the Cross Bronx Expressway to the FDR. Or take the New England Thruway to the Triboro Bridge (to Manhattan) to the FDR. From The FDR head south to the Houston Street exit. Take a right and drive across Houston Street to Lafayette. The Puck Building is on the southeast corner of Houston & Lafayette.

By Car - Upstate New York

Take the New York State Thruway to the Major Deegan Expressway. Take the Major Deegan Expressway to the Triboro Bridge to Manhattan, then take the FDR south. From The FDR head south to the Houston Street exit. Take a right and drive across Houston Street to Lafayette. The Puck Building is on the southeast corner of Houston & Lafayette.
